Happened to stumble into this great tavern on route to flagstaff. Loved talking to the pizza owner Paul - such a great guy and the sandwiches were delicious. They have a really nice outdoor patio, music, pool table, full bar. Definitely love to come back

I'd give a 4.5 star if I could figure that one out? Lol But hey, this lil place is really cool. They keep it simple as you should around here . All ages . Pool tables and video games . Cold beer and good pizza for there or the trails.
I came into River Valley Tavern last week looking for River Rat Pizza, and ended up hanging out here for a couple hours meeting other locals and having a good time. Alex did a great job taking care of everyone and had a very positive vibe that was refreshing. The group there knew each other, but were welcoming to me, as a new guy and part-time resident of the area. Thank you again Alex!
